Reporting live from somewhere on Spaceship Earth, we can confirm that today it is Hamish Patterson, AKA The Illusion's birthday, who was born in the year of our lord 1969!
If ever there comes a day that TTWAAR decides for the sake of expenses to classify itself as a religion, The Illusion would be its deity. This guy is the physical embodiment of radical, an immortal being who seems to walk hand in hand with the things of which are also rad.
The Illusion first presented himself to the people of Earth in 2010, when he uploaded his very first YouTube video, it's name now whispered in the very winds - "illusion exists now #1.wmv".
Many were unwilling to heed the ramblings and musings of this Californian demigod at first, however this all changed when he released his magnum opus, "bowl cut maintenance.wmv".
In the video, we are given an incredibly intimate front row viewing of The Illusion cutting his bowl cut, using his ceremonial rusty scissors and hand mirror, as some distorted surf rock plays in the background.
Videos like bowl cut maintenance and many others have cemented The Illusion's name in the minds of all those willing to open their hearts to the radder things in life, and because of this ever growing worship The Illusion has made the leap from computer screens to television screens, making appearances on Tosh 2.0 and Workaholics.
The Illusion has also advertised on many occasions for Thrasher Magazine, considered the sacred texts to those who wish to follow the words of The Illusion. The Illusion himself is also a fantastic skater, as well as a pretty fuckin' good surfer.
What's his favourite film? The Matrix.
Happy birthday, Illusion.
