On this day in history, we lost one of the greats. We are talking of course, about Leonard Nimoy.
Most people would assume Mr. Nimoy finds himself in our memories today just because of his role as Mr. Spock from them Star Treks, but he achieved many equally rad feats in his 83 years on this Earth that deserve your attention.
Besides acting and directing he also wrote books and poems, had his own albums, and owned two pet shops, one before Star Trek and one after, and he was in the army for a while. I mean most super talented celebrities have dabbled in a few other arts and a fair few have had a stint in the army, but how many of them also had pets shops? Just Nimoy my dudes, just Nimoy. He even ran an online shop with his granddaughter selling Spock stuff too.
He voicework in videogames is pretty sweet too - he's the narrator in that weird Dreamcast game Seaman, where you look after a pet fish that has the face of a middle aged Japanese man, is also the narrator in Civ IV, and voices the big series baddie Master Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts, that one where Japanese cartoons fight Disney characters.
We leave you with one of Leonard's greatest pieces of music, as we take a moment to remember his legacy.
We're not gonna do the whole live long thing though, sorry.
